Hamilton is New Zealand's largest inland city with a growing population (currently estimated at 118,500). Located on the banks of the Waikato River it is the centre of the country's highly developed dairy industry. A thriving city which offers a diverse range of sporting, recreational, cultural and social experiences, Hamilton provides an excellent central base from which to explore the rest of the country.

The Balloons over Waikato Festival is an iconic event for Hamilton and the Waikato region.
